It’s hard to admit another great year is coming to an end.
For REALTOR.ca, it was yet another year of connecting consumers with REALTORS®, promoting the REALTOR® brand and maintaining REALTOR.ca as the go-to place for Canadians’ home buying journey.
In 2019, REALTOR.ca continued to evolve, introducing several innovative solutions to meet the needs of your local markets, the changing real estate landscape and the evolving needs of today’s buyers and sellers.
It has been a historical year for many reasons. Here are some of the key improvements made to REALTOR.ca:
- For the first time, historical sales information has been included on some REALTOR.ca listings, depending on province.
- We’ve also launched the REALTOR.ca Listing Stats app, which showcases listing popularity and key insights, offering new ways for REALTORS® to connect with their clients.
- Consumers can now search for open houses with the REALTOR.ca skill for Amazon Alexa.
- Globe and Mail readers can now see REALTOR.ca listings as they read real estate and personal finance articles online. And, through another REALTOR.ca DDF® partnership, buyers looking for mortgages and real estate financial information on Scotiabank eHOME will be able to search for REALTOR® listings directly through the platform.
- “Local Insights” lifestyle heatmaps have been added to help REALTOR.ca visitors explore characteristics of neighbourhoods. Consumers can also filter results using neighbourhood and city boundary lines.
- International visitors can view listing prices in their preferred currency.
- Information on the First Time Home Buyers Incentive has been included and made front-and-centre on qualifying listings.
In addition to the improvements listed above, six new virtual tour providers are now supported on REALTOR.ca, we’ve tested a live chat and, early in 2019, listing agents started receiving notifications when their listings went live.
REALTOR.ca is committed to constant improvement and maintaining its position as Canada’s most visited real estate website[1].
