This fall, the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) was back on the road to meet with members and share updates on how we’re supporting REALTORS® and their business.
Since September, CREA has attended numerous conferences and tradeshows including:
- Royal Lepage National Sales Conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba
- Edmonton RAECON in Edmonton, Alberta
- Century 21 OneC21 in St John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador
- Chambre immobiliere Estrie in Drummondville, Quebec
- REMAX Activate in Quebec City, Quebec
- Ottawa Real Estate Board Annual REALTOR® Trade Show in Ottawa, Ontario
- OREA’s REALiTY+ Conference in Toronto, Ontario
At each of these events, CREA staff were on hand to engage with REALTORS® and share updates on REALTOR.ca, other technology tools, CREA’s advocacy efforts, and our work to help enhance and protect the reputation of REALTORS® in Canada.
While we appreciate that hybrid events have opened up more opportunities for us connect with members, in-person events remain instrumental as a way to create and build relationships and share and collect information.

In addition to attending Canadian events, on November 11-13, CREA travelled with more than 400 REALTORS® from Canada to NAR NXT, The REALTOR® Experience in Orlando, Florida. Despite Hurricane Nicole, there were more than 10,000 attendees from around the world, allowing REALTORS® to network and help their Canadian clients find property aboard.
During NAR’s Global Business Alliance Committee Meeting, CREA Chair, Jill Oudil, and Linda Kristal, Vice President, Advocacy provided an update on the Canadian market, our advocacy efforts, and the Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Non-Canadians (Foreign Buyers Ban).
CREA also hosted two networking events in Orlando, as well as the Great Canadian Road Trip – Expo Stop. Additionally, CREA was proud to take part in the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) pinning ceremony that recognized several REALTORS® from Canada who received their CIPS Designation.
We know you, our members rely on our products and services to support your clients in their home buying and selling journeys. That’s why our staff is excited to be travelling again so we can meet with REALTORS® in their communities to learn about how we can better serve you and your business.
As we look to the year ahead, we can’t wait to see you on the road!
