Whip up an at home coffee bar
Do you miss ordering your venti, extra pump, triple shot, mocha, no foam, vanilla latte? (I made up that order, I hope). Bring out your inner barista and create your own brew-tiful coffee bar at home. Get ready to give your kitchen a shot of java with these tips.
Hang a gallery wall
I’ll admit I usually get someone else to hang the art in my house. I struggle with spacing and it never seems level. Have no fear though! Hanging a gallery wall is easier than it seems. Tips such as arranging your items on the ground and hanging your bigger pieces first will help you get it right from the start.
Reupholster old furniture
Do you love antique furniture as much as I do? You can bring new life to old furniture by following a few simple tips. You’ll need sharp scissors, measuring tape, a staple gun, fabric pen, foam or cotton batting, lining fabric and new cover fabric. Ready? Start here.
Create an exercise room
You might have started working out in the living room when the COVID-19 pandemic closed gyms, but wouldn’t it be nice to have a dedicated space for your sweat sessions? If you have the space, kick your fitness regime into high gear by designing your dream home gym. Consider the layout, flooring, lighting and budget before you start doing any heavy lifting.
Deep clean
The spring isn’t the only time to do a deep clean. Take advantage of the warm weather and put these cleaning tips to use. We bet it’s been a while since you looked at the filter on the back of your dishwasher. Pop it out and clean it in the sink. Next, put two cups of vinegar in a container on the top rack of your dishwasher and run it using the hottest setting. You’ll be amazed at home clean your dishwasher can look.
