3 online tools recommended by the next generation of REALTORS®

What happens when REALTORS® involved in Young Professional Networks (YPNs) across Canada and the United States come together in one location? You get a sneak peek at the REALTOR® of the future and let me tell you, he and she are social, tech-savvy, and agile marketers!

In August, CREA staff and REALTORS® from across Canada were invited to attend the second annual Young Professional Network Leadership Retreat hosted by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). We had the opportunity to learn how YPNers are using some of the latest technologies and trends to help grow their businesses and personal networks and market themselves.

According to one of speakers at the Leadership Retreat, the REALTOR® of the future will have active, relevant content on their website and social media platforms that shows clients the value of their industry knowledge, marketing skills, and online presence.

Here are three tools that popped up in demonstrations and conversations during the event:

Piktochart allows you to showcase information and statistics using infographics. The drag and drop features allow you to import and visualize your data with charts and graphs that are engaging and easy to read. The multiple formats and sizes allow you to share your infographics across social media sites and you have the ability to link, embed, and email.   • Conveying local housing market, brokerage, and personal listing statistics.
  • Sharing event summaries.

Canva gives you all the tools you need to easily turn your ideas into eye-catching designs. Options are limitless with designs for web or print: blog graphics, presentations, Facebook covers, flyers, posters, invitations, and so much more.   • Creating social media banners and posts.
  • Preparing listing information sheets for open houses.
  • Creating print and online ads and other marketing materials.

BombBomb lets you create face-to-face interaction with friends and clients by providing you with the tools to create custom videos, as well as a full range of analytic data to track and improve your video responses.   • Creating video emails for clients, such as: thanking clients for referrals, following-up on questions, and congratulating clients on recent purchases.
  • Recording personalized greetings.
  • Breaking down market statistics or property information.
